Festkonzert im Cuvilliés-Theater
In one of the nicest and most important rococo theatres of Europe where Mozart
directed the premiere of his opera "Idomeneo" and where in 1806 Napoleon as a guest a performance of Don Giovanni was present, you can experience concerts with the famous residence Soloists. The ensemble, consisting of the residence soloists and members of the Munich philharmonic
orchestra and the symphony orchestra of the Bayerischen Rundfunk company, play
well-chosen masterpieces of the classical period.

Let the day of the German Unification end festively with the Residence Soloists.
Solo artist of the evening is Michael Kofler, solo flautist of the Munich Philharmonic. He interprets Vivaldi’s famous flute concert and Pergolesi’s seldom heard flute concert. The Residence Soloists will play Beethoven’s powerful symphony No.7 with the wonderful lyrical second movement and from J. Strauß his cheerful “Fledermaus” ouverture.
