Concerts in Fürstenried Castle

starting March 2027

Starting in March 2027, a new concert series invites you into the world of the historic Fürstenried Palace.

Once the hunting lodge of Elector Max-Emanuel—built between 1715 and 1717 and a significant refuge for King Otto I during his final years—the palace will exclusively and ceremoniously open its gates, usually closed to the general public, for this musical highlight. The Golden Hall of the royal palace will host these approximately 80-minute concerts (performed without an intermission) as Sunday morning matinees at 11:00 a.m. Here, the Residenz Soloists breathe new life into immortal compositions by Vivaldi, Mozart, and other great masters with masterful skill and profound expression. As summer approaches, the music moves to the airy, venerable palace park. During enchanting open-air evenings starting at 7:30 p.m., you can enjoy the fresh summer air—just as the Bavarian rulers once did. Upon request, a three-course lunch can be booked to follow the Sunday concerts.
