Meisterkonzert im Herkulessaal
The Herkulessaal was originally the throne room of Ludwig I and after the reconstruction it was used as a concert hall. Up to the opening of the philharmonic concert hall in the Gasteig, it was the most important concert hall in Munich. It has received the name from the wall carpets which shows the Herkuleslegend and was ordered by Herzog Albrecht V in 1556.
Program
The exceptional flautist Michael Kofler, solo flautist of the Munich Philharmonic, interprets Mozart’s famous flute concert in D-Dur. L. van Beethoven’s 3rd symphony the “Eroica” counts to his most brilliant creations, in which an heroic life is told through musical pictures as ball scenes, battle and victory.
The melodic brilliant concert piece of C.M. von Weber - unfortunately very rare to experience in a concert hall – will be performed by the pianist Andreas Skouras.
