Max-Joseph hall of the Munich Residence
Master concert in Max-Joseph hall - tickets per Ticketdirect only
On Whit Monday, the Residence Soloists will perform the famous Violin Concerto No. 1 by the 19th-century "Wizard of the Violin," Henryk Wieniawski, for the first time in the Max-Joseph Hall. Wieniawski composed this virtuoso concerto in 1853 at the age of just 18. It combines the folksy and melancholic sounds of his Polish homeland with the Parisian elegance and lightness prevalent at the time. At the premiere, the concerto will be played by the "Devil's Violinist" of our time, Roman Kim.
