Max-Joseph hall of the Munich Residence
Master concert in Max-Joseph hall
In 1778 Mozart went on his second trip to Paris with his mother. The trip, however, was a disappointment for Mozart:
"...If here were a place where people had ears, hearts, feelings, and understood just a little something about music and had taste, I would laugh with all my heart at all these things, but that's how I am all cattle and beasts (as far as the music is concerned)..."
But Mozart was still productive. Here he composed his only double concerto for flute and harp in honor of the Comte de Guines and his daughter, who was Mozart's student.
