Herkules Hall of the Munich Residence
Meisterkonzert im Herkulessaal
Zum Neujahr
The Herkulessaal was originally the throne room of Ludwig I and after the reconstruction, it was used as a concert hall. Up to the opening of the philharmonic concert hall in the Gasteig, it was the most important concert hall in Munich. It has received the name from the wall carpets, which show the Herkuleslegend and was ordered by Herzog Albrecht V in 1556.
