The composer Hector Berlioz felt this music at first hearing as a joke that had fallen from the sky. The performances include Mozart's magnificent, varied "Prague" symphony with echoes of Don Giovanni, Rossini's teasing overture from "The Thieving Magpie", and the spirited Slavonic Dance by Antonin Dvorak.
